Introduction to Libertad Ministries
Libertad Ministries is a Christian mission based in Kenya, founded and led by Rev. Rita Loyola, an ordained minister with a Master of Divinity from Westminster Theological Seminary. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry focused on church revitalization, Rev. Rita is dedicated to spreading the message of freedom as reflected in the ministry’s name, ‘Libertad,’ which means freedom in Spanish. This inspirational initiative takes root from her Colombian heritage, intertwining cultural roots with the gospel’s message of hope and liberation.
Key Activities and Focus Areas
Operating primarily in Nairobi and Kisumu, Libertad Ministries engages in a variety of impactful activities, aimed at equipping the church and serving the community. Rev. Rita leads theological training sessions, pastoral equipping programs, and discipleship groups, fostering strong spiritual growth among local leaders and congregations. Additionally, the ministry conducts school outreach initiatives and mercy ministries, extending the love of Christ to vulnerable populations.
Connecting with Supporters
As the mission advances, Rev. Rita aims to connect with American church donors and partners, sharing regular field updates and prayer requests. The ministry aspires to serve as a communication hub for supporting churches, encouraging ongoing involvement and support in their mission. Through initiatives like collecting one-time and recurring donations, and plans to offer Bible study downloads and fair trade Kenyan goods, Libertad Ministries seeks to enhance its outreach and impact in the community.
