Breaking Every Yoke
“And you shall say to him, The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, sent me to you, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness. But so far, you have not obeyed.” Exodus 7:16 ESV
“Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of injustice, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke?” Isaiah 58:6 ESV
When God commanded Pharaoh to let His people go, the purpose was worship. In the Hebrew the very word for serve and the word for worship are one and the same. Freedom was never meant to be an end in itself. God set His people free so they could bow before Him, love Him, and live fully for His glory. When Isaiah declared the fast God had chosen, the call was to loose the bonds of injustice, undo heavy burdens, and break every yoke. True worship, you see, always looks outward. It cannot stay contained within the walls of the sanctuary. It spills into the streets, the villages, the classrooms, and the training rooms of Nairobi and Kisumu.
Libertad, freedom, is not merely a name. It is a calling. A calling to bring the liberating power of the Gospel to pastors without training, children without schools, women without dignity, and communities without hope. Because true freedom always leads to worship. And true worship always compels us to serve.
1. Theological Training Center — Kisumu
Equipping pastors and church leaders with sound biblical theology through the Theological Training Center, Kisumu Site. Over 60 registered participants attend at no cost. Every session is funded entirely through partner generosity.
2. Rural Church Partnerships
Supporting underserved congregations across rural Kenya with pastoral visits, teaching resources, and biblical encouragement for leaders serving in isolated and impoverished communities.
3. Church Planter Network
Developing and supporting church planters through leadership training, discipleship coaching, and practical ministry tools to establish Gospel-rooted congregations across Kenya.
4. Nairobi Home Fellowship
Leading discipleship gatherings in Nairobi homes where believers study Scripture together, pray, and reach out to non-Christians in their neighborhoods and communities.
5. Youth and Children Biblical Formation
Visiting village schools and urban classrooms to bring the Gospel to children, advocate for girls education, and provide resources that give young people a foundation in Christ.
6. Pastoral Conferences
Gathering rural pastors for theological equipping days where leaders receive teaching, fellowship, and tools to shepherd their congregations with biblical faithfulness and pastoral wisdom.
7. Teaching and Writing
Producing Bible study resources and theological instruction materials that equip believers across Kenya and beyond to grow in their knowledge and love of God’s Word.

The goal of Libertad Ministries is not dependency but transformation. Not merely social improvement but a people who know God, love God, and live fully for God in every area of life. The Shema calls us to wholehearted devotion. It is the destination of every yoke broken, every pastor trained, every child kept in school, and every family restored through the Gospel.
Through faithful theological formation, Gospel rooted discipleship, and compassionate mercy ministry, we are working toward a Kenya where:

A Kenya where the Shema is not merely recited but lived. Where the love of God with heart, soul, and might shapes homes, schools, churches, and communities for generations to come.
